2017 CADSA CARES SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT ANNA WETZEL
Anna plans on attending Central Michigan University in the fall studying Special Education with a focus on Cognitive Impairments. She has volunteered in a classroom at the Lyle Torrant Center in Jackson. She worked closely with a student with Down syndrome and through that experience, she was inspired to pursue Special Education as a career. According to a Special Education Teacher at Jackson County Lyle Torrant Center, Anna has an immediate comfort and compassion when working with students. Anna has volunteered for four years in various classrooms for students with cognitive impairments. She is incredibly dedicated to working with and helping special needs individuals reach their full potential. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that we award her with the 2017 CADSA CARES Scholarship. Congratulations!
